What We Value:
SAPO explicitly does not operate as an anti-drug club, nor is our mission to persuade people against doing drugs. This does not mean that we label ourselves as a pro drug club. Our top priority is making sure people feel comfortable coming to us for resources without expecting judgement or lecturing.

We oppose drug policy initiatives that treat addicts as criminals or addiction as anything but a public health crisis and a disease that can be mitigated through harm reductionist practices.

Our organization’s goal is naloxone saturation– to get a high quantity of individuals in our community in possession of and comfortable administering Naloxone. We also seek to treat users of drugs with empathy and respect, and to combat stigmatization and shame these individuals may experience on campus and in the community
